CIRCULAR CONSTRUCTION LAB
September 2020 - Present
The Circular Construction Lab at Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art and Planning is a research group geared towards understanding materials within architecture and construction fields as an essential piece to a sustainable future. The lab is looking to advance materials to a position where they can become part of a circular economy, leaving behind the unsustainable status-quo of linear paths for architectural systems. I am working on developing a database of construction materials and collecting statistics to determine circularities of specific materials. In addition to this I am currently drawing undergoing thorough life-cycle analysis for these materials, hoping to develop a system that can be expanded upon by other architects and research labs. I am working under CCL director Felix Heisel in working towards these goals, and we look forward to culminating this research in the future.
