RESOURCE DEPENDENCIES AND UBRAN RAMIFICATIONS IN MINING TOWNS
Architectural Analysis II - Fall 2021
This research project looks at understanding how different cities, towns, and urban environments depend on the resource extraction of the land which surrounds them. The project centers on three cities, each under different conditions and timeline. The analysis looks at the relationship between architectural and urban built elements, and the landscapes of extraction, attempting to understand how the architecture chooses to embody, react to, cover up, or reuse these landscapes, for better or worse.
